Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Digital Center Network (DxC) IT Solution Specialist - Developer role located in Midland (MI, USA), Houston (TX, USA), or Shanghai (China)!
Our global Digital Center Network (DxC) represents a group of services and teams across the Digital Fulfillment Center (DFC), Digital Marketplace Center (DMC), and Digital Operations Center (DOC) networks. The Digital Center Network (DxC) provides the expertise, global presence and scale to help accelerate Dow’s digital transformation. With an ambition to accelerate our Digital Dow strategy, the DxC network is uniquely positioned to contribute with innovative digital solutions.
The DxC IT Solution Specialist – Developer and Scrum Master Role(s) will help in continuing to bring the DxC vision to life, as a member of DxC Support and Scale team. As Solution Specialist, you will be part of a team that specializes in monitoring metrics/reporting to prioritize support and scale of the DxC portfolio, manages Support and Scale Backlog (azure devops), creation of User Stories/Backlog, supports transition to enterprise scale and support teams and provides support (enhancements, break/fix, investigation, remediation, new dev) of the DxC Portfolio of production applications leveraging best-in-class mobile, web, desktop, cloud technologies. You will work with other developers on your team and the across the Global DxC network.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Monitor metrics/reporting to prioritize support and scale of DxC Portfolio
Manages Support and Scale Backlog (azure devops)
Creation/Maintenance of User Stories/Backlog
Support transition of DxC applications to enterprise scale and support teams
Provide Support (Enhancements, break/fix, investigation, remediation new development for the DxC Portfolio
Supports implementation and user adoption
Ability to understand the importance of good software design and development principles to ensure that the DxC is able to produce software of the highest quality, in the most efficient timeline, and will maintain these ideals throughout future projects
Work with Lead and Senior Developers to define the scope and solution architecture of products
Lead the development of cloud-first Web/Mobile/AI/ML/IoT solutions
Understand complex data sources and integrations and develop/implement necessary data flows
Implement top-tier security and data protection
Support – With guidance selects and defines supplier and team support models
Performance - Defines controls, measures and KPIs for solution performance and reliability
End-to-End Integration – Coordinates with other Business Process Managers and Solutions Managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration
Roadmaps – Defines a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects; Help assess resource, technology, investment needed in delivering against the roadmap
Assist Sr. Solution Manager with workload analysis for team to ensure proper resource alignment for capacity planning
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent work experience OR relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
General knowledge of Information technology work process, methodologies, and tools
For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree discipline in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
Modern software engineering skills, including experience with object-oriented programming and material design patterns
Recent experience as a SCRUM Master and managing Azure DevOps and Scrum Cadence)
Recent experience designing and deploying in Microsoft Azure’s Environment
Proficient knowledge in front-end and/or back-end development
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Agile software development methodologies and work processes, especially Scrum
Participated in application development process from requirements through implementation
Excellent Leadership & Communication Skills
Design Thinking and Human Centered Design experience
Experience with Code and Frameworks from recent developments: ASP.NET, C#, AngularJS, HTML, JavaScript, Python
Familiarity with Azure DevOps and experience deploying code, managing release pipelines, branching strategies, and secure code
Experience with Common Azure Cloud Services: Azure App Services, Active Directory, App Insights, SQL, Functions, Containers, Data Factory, Azure ML, API Manager and more
