Main Tasks:

1. Legal:

• Provide/ensure comprehensive legal support irrespective of the complexity of the matter which may occur in an international context. This includes drafting and/or negotiating, internally and externally, all types of contracts for the companies/functions supported. However, in very complex matters alignment with functional/disciplinary superior.
• Carrying out legal projects, such as restructuring projects (merging companies) or corporate governance projects (board composition, rules of procedure) related to the units/functions supported.
• Select and manage/supervise law firms for specific projects.
• Monitoring the development of relevant legislation and jurisdiction in order to analyse the need for action and carry out actions required or meaningful.
• Direct contact to business partners, including all M-levels.

2.Insurance:

• Ensure/organize adequate & cost-efficient insurance coverage for all Chinese Vaillant Group companies (based on, i.a., group insurance policies) for risks identified by the relevant risk owners (excl. credit insurances & certain employee-related insurances) following further determination by the functional/disciplinary superior.

3.Project Management:

• Coordinate selected interdisciplinary projects with legal relevance (e.g. with regard to Chinese Corporate Social Credit System, foreign investment or cyber security laws) and take over project lead across different functions.

Job Requirements：

• Law graduate with honours (comparable with German “vollbefriedigend” or better) from a local university.
• At least five years of broad professional experience in corporate and commercial law in a reputable law firm or a multinational company.
• Excellent Chinese and English language skills, be capable of handling day to day business, external negotiations and drafting in both languages.
• Good command of negotiation and communication skills; multicultural sensitivity.
• Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with organization skills and be able to constantly re-prioritize projects based on importance and urgency.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
• Strong commercial awareness and practically-oriented.
