Job Summary:
Logistics Officer will be responsible for relevant logistics events and forwarder coordination, manage delivery order process and arrange shipments independently, support for GSS logistics development and warehouse daily operations, improve forwarder performance, follow up on time shipment activities and make files for business documents etc.
This position will participate in forwarder development while building up the knowledge of forwarder management, shipment and dispatch readiness, third party payment and cross functional coordination. This position will undertake some other work from GSS global logistics team to support operational tasks from Customs clearance processes and delivery center daily operations .
Duties and Responsibilities
Review forwarder database and delivery schedule to arrange shipments according to Delivery Note, create shipping documents and instructions to forwarders to secure effective on time performants and optimize the forwarder’s service.
Communicate with peers in logistics team and check with forwarders to ensure all documents are accurate and in full set before shipment thus to prepare required license, certificate, explanation and other necessary records for import & export cargos.
Fill in the shipment forms in conformity with the cargo and truthfully and accurately declare the import & export commodity to Customs.
Participate in forwarder development and deliver across all elements of shipment readiness to reinforce effective management of the assigned forwarders while reducing risks in forwarder development and improve the forwarder performance.
Assist in warehouse daily operation collaboration and coordination with different functions and other work assigned to enforce shipment tracking with forwarders to find out delay root cause and remove barriers in logistics process.

Being armed with required business knowledge and necessary skills, understand company strategy, mission and values, keep job knowledge current and enable to solve critical issues in logistics development and inventory management.

Identifying the root cause of an issue by sorting through full steps and break problems into basic elements, make tough decisions in a timely manner and anticipate how decisions may unfold prior to communicating individual thought to others.

Understanding that effective communication lead to success, express ideas clearly and concisely by making listening a priority, respect for others to develop creative solutions and deliver clear/needed information to others in a timely manner.

Job Management:
Establishing performance goals, milestones and procedures, set up an action plan to make good use of operations resources, coordinate projects throughout team work, monitor logistics progress while managing multiple logistics projects.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a logistics, supply chain or other related fields
Minimum 1~2 years’ working experience with the manufacturers
- Effective written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin
Familiar with MS Office experience
